This is the most harvested variety of sweet potato, partially due to the fact that it is a specialty of the Kanto region and Ibaraki Prefecture.
With a high sugar content compared to other types of sweet potatoes, a vivid yellow flesh, and mealy texture, it is a very popular variety of sweet potato.

Annouimo comes from Tanegashima, Kagoshima Prefecture.
It is a round potato with orange flesh.
It features syrupy sweet flesh containing mitsu.

Koukei 14

Rich mealy texture Use: Produce / Processed product

The skin is reddish purple, and the flesh is light yellow with a moderate texture.
It features a lighter sweetness than the Beniazuma.
This variety is also called Kintoki, and it has superb early tuber bulking. It is cultivated in the area from south Kyushu to the Kanto region.

Ibaraki Prefecture was the first in the nation to make this variety.
It has a somewhat rounder shape than the Beniazuma and has a higher glucose content.

Ayamurasaki
The skin is dark reddish purple, and the flesh is a dark purple, with a high content of anthocyanin. Because it is not sweet, it is more suitable for use as a food coloring or as a paste or other form of ingredient for processed food, rather than as produce.

Purple Sweet Road
The skin is dark reddish purple, and the flesh is a somewhat lighter shade of purple than the Ayamurasaki. It has a superb appearance with a spindle-shaped form. Its taste is on par with Koukei 14 and it has a mealy texture. It features a fresh sweet taste.
